Dennis A. Fordham is a State Bar Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law; he is the only such specialist located in Lake County, California.
Mr. Fordham has the following degrees: B.A., Columbia University (New York); J.D., State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law; and LL.M. in Federal Tax Law from New York University (NYU) School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in California & New York States, and is admitted to the federal district court in Santa Rosa, California, and the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Fordham is a member of the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council (REEPC) of Santa Rosa, California, a trustee of the Lake County Law Library, and is a past Vice President of the Lake County Bar Association from 2007 to 2009. He is also a member of the Lakeport Rotary Club and Toastmasters International. Mr. Fordham authors a regular Column appearing in the Record-Bee, Observer-American and Lake County News online, “Your Legacy & Peace of Mind.”
Mr. Fordham presents a valuable and informative program developed and sponsored by the Trust and Estates Section of the State Bar of California to educate seniors (and when possible also their family member, friends and others) about financial scams directed at them. This program can be presented at any Community or Senior Center in Lake, Mendocino or Colusa Counties.
He and his wife have two beautiful young children.
Linda Garcia-Eckert is a certified paralegal. She is graduate of St. Mary’s College of Moraga, Paralegal Certificate program. Ms. Eckert assists Dennis Fordham and his clients with document preparation and information gathering related to Estate Planning, Probate and Conservatorships. She also assists Mr. Fordham with public relations for the firm.
Previously, Ms. Eckert worked at the Berry and Berry law firm in Oakland as medical paralegal and expert witness scheduler regarding asbestos litigation. She also worked for the Crosby, Heafey, Roach and May law firm as a paralegal, specializing in mass complex litigation.
In addition, Ms. Eckert is a mediator and a board member of the Lake County Mediation Services which provides mediation services to the Lake County Courts and the community.
